# Participant Distribution Across Tiers Membership tiers are based on a user's accumulated points, which reflect their contribution to the NEOPIN ecosystem. We have redesigned the tier system to move away from a competitive framework. Only users who have accumulated more than 0.01 points will be considered for membership.
